Kim Beecher (Nandi) (Senior-Level Teacher) (E-RYT 500)
Nandi was introduced to TriYoga in 1986 when a friend invited her to local yoga class. She soon realized TriYoga helped her stay healthy, happy and balanced. Nandi believes that "The perfection and beauty of Kaliji's life and work, including the systematized flows and prana vidya, mudras, wisdom, music and vegan diet, must be shared as these bring peace, joy and transformation to others." She began to take teacher trainings to deepen her practice, and became certified to teach in 1993. Kim received her master's degree in education from Stanford University and was formerly a secondary and college science, bilingual, and anatomy instructor. She is currently the Assistant Director of TriYoga Teacher training program and conducts programs both nationally and internationally. She also has a chiropractic practice in Santa Cruz.

Terri Richards (Tarini) (Senior-Level Teacher) (E-RYT 500)
As a dancer, the language Terri understands best is movement. From the beginning the dance of TriYoga spoke deeply to her and it soon became her life. She says, "When I took my first TriYoga class to help with meditation, I immediately fell in love with the flow." She has been certified to teach since September 2000 and is grateful for the ability to share TriYoga with others. A senior-level TrIYoga teacher and teacher trainer, Tarini teaches regularly in Santa Cruz and international locations. Her daughter, Kara, also a TriYoga teacher, takes classes to complement her career in music, theater and dance.

Chris Bratt
After practicing TriYoga for five years I began teaching in 2008. I was initially drawn to TriYoga to self-treat a series of back and neck injuries which I had sustained over many years working as a carpenter. My early practice was primarily at home where a friend and I memorized the yoga flows from one of Kali Ray’s early VHS TriYoga video tapes. Over time I established a daily practice at the TriYoga Center in Santa Cruz, and before I knew it I was taking as many teacher trainings as my schedule would allow.
TriYoga initially felt like medicine for my body, where I could essentially use the asanas and flows to be my own physical therapist – healing my past injuries. But over time the deeper effects have been mental and spiritual, helping me to calm my busy mind, and providing valuable perspective in numerous diverse areas of my life. I feel particularly lucky to be a part of the TriYoga community, which for me extends from Santa Cruz to some of the far corners of the world.
The opportunity to teach TriYoga and help pass on an ancient yet contemporary practice is a great joy. Aside from the obvious physical benefits of increasing strength and flexibility, the most profound positive impacts I see in students at the end of a class are their relaxed smiles. Ideally people leave class having achieved some considerable peace in their daily lives. It is a gift to play a small part in that process.
In addition to teaching yoga I enjoy making abstract photographs in nature, remodeling custom homes, gardening, spending free time in the mountains and at the ocean, listening to and playing music, and being taken for walks by my dog.

Jamie Andres-Larsen
Jamie was introduced to TriYoga in 1997, via the Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation program. Beginning with a weekly Basics-level class, over a period of years she systematically transitioned to a Level 1 practice and then to Level 2. She is currently certified in all three of these levels and enjoys teaching at the Santa Cruz TriYoga Center. TriYoga offers Jamie a deeply meditative practice, connecting the mind, body and breath, which has led to a healthier life (mentally and physically) and a happier one, as well. Jamie enjoys teaching, as it offers the opportunity to pass on what she has learned, to support others in their development, and to learn from the students, thus deepening her own practice.
